can't sync local files from computer to iphone x

My Question or Issue

I'm trying to sync local files from my laptop to my iphone X right now. I managed to get the local files to download to my Pixel 4A5G but it just refuses to work on my iphone. I have the local files setting enabled on my phone, and my phone is on the same network as my laptop. I made sure it's on the original wifi, too. Not an extender or a duplicate wifi, etc. I also made sure my firewall and network settings were on private for my laptop (thats when it started working for my pixel).

I even uninstalled and reinstalled on my phone but it just refuses to work.

I have no clue what to do at this point, if anyone knows what I can do I would appreciate it a lot! This is the first time I haven't been able to figure it out myself.

Thanks for reaching out on the Community and kudos on your troubleshooting so far.

There are a few other things that we can check to make sure we've covered all basic steps.

We'd recommend logging out from your phone > restarting it > logging back in 2 times to make sure everything is synced up between the accounts.

It's also a good idea to try a different wi-fi connection to sync the files, for example you can start a hotspot on your phone and use that.
