casting from ipad/iphone to chromecast

My Question or Issue

Attempting to cast JRE audio and video to chromecast, from either ipad or iphone. (both result in same problem)

Audio is prefect. Video is visible and plays, however, it is very dark, like a shadow is over it. Its as though the video layer is in the background and needs to be 'active'. For example, if when playing only in the ipad or iphone and you tap the video to bring up 'full screen' option, while the option is showing, the video is dimmed while the options layer is in the foreground. when casting, its dimmed always.

I hope this makes sense to someone and there is a solution.

In case updating to the latest software versions didn't help we suggest trying out the steps listed here. You'll find a detailed guide under the Google Chromecast section.  

If this persists, try performing a clean reinstall of Spotify on both your iPhone and iPad. This will get you the latest app version with all necessary updates. Then make sure you restart all the devices and check if the shadow is gone.
