desktop playlists don't sync to iphone

desktop playlists don't sync to iphone

I'm a premium member.

Recently, tracks in my iPhone playlists have stopped synging.

The playlist shows up on the phone, but it shows as "0 tracks".

So far I've tried:

  • Reinstalling the desktop client (I'm running version: http://drod.io/image/2r272W3G0C23 )
  • Checking for updates on the iOS client (there were none; both desktop & phone are up to date)
  • Logging out of both; logging back in with my spotify ID instead of Facebook on both

But no dice.

For example, here's a screenshot from the desktop (there are obviously tracks in the "chillax" playlist):

And on the phone (showing zero tracks.  Same for "chill" which I had created previously:

Hey drodio, welcome to the Community.

Screenshots are awesome. 🙂

Can you try creating a new playlist and adding <300 tracks to it to begin with? Does that show up okay on iOS? If so, then try adding more tracks to it.

Ping.... checking in on this

If you create a new playlist on the desktop app, and add a single track to it does it sync to your iOS device correctly?

I created a playlist called "test" and added a track.  That DID sync.

So I added a 2nd track.  That also DID sync.

So then I added 10 more, for a total of 12.  That DID sync.

Then I added 400 more.  That did NOT sync.

Is there some max # of tracks that the mobile app can sync?  (That total apparently being under 412?)

The strange thing is I have older playlists with 900+ tracks on them.

If you are on client v0.9.0.133 a bug in that release means copying more than 332 tracks at one time will break playlist synchronisation. If you copy tracks in batches of 100 at a time they should sync no problem.
