google home mini + spotify glitch

My Question or Issue

cannot get my google home mini to cast spotify. i’ve has the accounts linked for about 6 months and have had no issues until today. i start the google cast then play a song on spotify. once i hit play, spotify skips 5 songs then music will play for exactly 10 seconds before stopping. play/pause won’t do anything. also the same issue if i try to cast to my tv or second google home mini in my living room. i’ve unplugged the google home for a minute and plugged it back in, unlinked and re-linked my spotify account on google, restarted the wifi on my phone, and also restarted the wifi router itself. nothing is working. i’m hesitant to do a factory reset on the google home since i’m not confident it’ll make a difference.

Having this same issue since around the same time. Haven’t found anything else on it or been able to fix it. Extremely annoying as I basically bought my google speaker just to play my music on Spotify. LOL

only solution i found was to reset the home to it’s factory settings
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ REAL stupid and annoying but i haven’t had issues since. hope
