i want to change my region but spotify isn’t allowing me

i want to change my region but spotify isn’t allowing me

i was in the usa but now i moved back to brazil and im trying to change my region but it’s not allowing me, i don’t even have the option of brazil on my settings

Hey there! Welcome to the Spotify Community!

First, can you tell me if you are on a Free or Premium subscription? If you are on a Premium subscription, you can't change it unless you update your current payment method first, as described in this article.

If you still want to change your country or region, you need to update your payment method to one that's issued there, in your case, Brazil.

  1. Log in to your account page.
  2. Under Account, click Update next to your payment method.
  3. Enter a new payment method that was issued in your new country or region.

If you don't have Premium, you can follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to your account page.
  2. Click EDIT PROFILE.
  3. Scroll down to Country or region and select your new one from the dropdown list.
    Note: Your new country or region only shows when you’re actually there.
  4. Click SAVE PROFILE.

Hope you can help me here.

I'm on Premium subscription and I have tried updating my new payment card from the new country I'm currently based in but it failed. An error message popped out saying "Your payment method and country don't match." Can you please advise.. Thanks, Alicia.

Hi there @12185355566 and @marcocean!

Let's first try some basic steps:

- Have you already changed your payment information on another browser or in incognito mode?
- Have your card been issued in the country you're currently based in?
- Can you check if any of you are using a VPN service that might be causing this behavior?
