[iOS 15.2.1] EQ disables itself even when turned on previously
Device
iPhone 12
Hi guys !
I found out that the EQ in the app disables by itself but is still shown to be working on Spotify on iOS 15.2.1.
This has been happening for quite a few days now and I just found out right now that even though the slider was in the green, the EQ wasn’t working at all (sound was plain and un-EQ’ed)
Turning it off then on again works but I don’t think it is viable option. Sometimes even doing that doesn’t work out as it should.
Has this happened to you guys too ?
Hey @KeepOn,
Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community.
First up, it's well worth running a clean reinstall to get rid of any cached files that might be causing trouble. This one is more thorough than the usual one.
On another note, we suggest that you check if the OS of your phone has any pending updates.
Lastly, we'd like to know if this started happening after a specific event such as an update either of the app or the OS of your phone.
Keep us posted on how it goes.
Hey @KeepOn,
Thanks for getting back to us.
If the clean reinstall doesn't make a difference, you can send us a video recording of what you're seeing. We'll look into this further.
Keep us posted.
Looking for the same issue. Bumped into your thread. Thanks for creating it. Looking forward for solution.
Hi !
Saw the new message and realized that I forgot to update.
The issue didn’t happen to me anymore for the last 3 weeks.
The only thing I did was disabling Audio Normalization a few hours after reporting the problem.
I did have not resort to Clean Reinstall to remove the problem (didn’t want to redownload local files and the problem sorted by itself before).
I am now on Spotify 8.7.6.1559, iOS 15.2.1.
In search of the same thing. I accidentally found your thread. I appreciate your making it. I am anticipating a resolution.
