iOS Car Mode - mark 3rd party blueetoth receivers as Car

iOS Car Mode - mark 3rd party blueetoth receivers as Car

I use Spotify Premium on iOS in my car connected to a Bluetooth receiver (Anker Soundsync A3352). I would like to mark it as my car Bluetooth connection so car view automatically turns on when I connect to this bluetooth receiver.

Best Regards and thanks

Hey @BudSpencer95

Unfortunately right now Spotify does not have a setting to manually mark a bluetooth connection as a car bluetooth connection. The built in bluetooth in cars has information embedded into it -- and iOS and media apps can detect if this is a regular bluetooth connection or a car bluetooth connection. So Spotify will only show the Car Mode if it detects a car bluetooth connection. It would not be a good experience for all users to show the Car Mode for all bluetooth connections that is why it's currently for built in car bluetooth connections.

Dear Support,

Thanks for your reply. Surely it wouldn’t be nice if car mode would always be on. But it would be nice to mark 3rd Party Bluetooth receivers as car Bluetooth in the setting so every time Spotify connects to that single Bluetooth receiver (that is only used in the car) it will jump into car mode. All other Bluetooth devices like headphones wouldn’t be affected by this.

Best Regards
Jan
