[iOS] Spotify crashes on iPhone 7 - Part Deux

Plan: Free, Country: USA, iPhone 7 with iOS 14

 

Posting this as a follow up to:

https://community.spotify.com/t5/iOS-iPhone-iPad/iOS-Spotify-crashes-on-iPhone-7/m-p/5157936#M130401

 

Created a new account on 2/22/2021 and closed the old account.   Spotify Free has been working flawlessly up until today (3/8/2021) when the spontaneous stops/crashes began again.

 

Any further inputs on how to solve this outside of creating a new account?

The type of subscription you have shouldn't have anything to do with this type of issue. Take your time to try the suggestions I mentioned above and keep us in the loop on how it goes.

We're sorry to hear that you're still experiencing this issue. We'll be happy to help.

 

Can you confirm if you've already tried running a clean reinstall by following these steps? This can be helpful to get rid of any cached files that might be causing trouble.

 

Also, make sure that there aren't any battery optimization settings enabled for Spotify on your iPhone.

 

If none of these makes a difference, could you try on a different mobile, preferably another iPhone, and let us know if the issue persists there? This would help us narrow down the possible cause of the issue.

Interesting that the crashing seemed to start again after my Premium trial was up and my account went back to Spotify Free...hmm....
