iOS Users: Do not update if you have local files on your mobile device

iOS Users: Do not update if you have local files on your mobile device

A new update for iOS has been released. I strongly recommend not update it if you have local files because they will vanish! This is a bug already reported but not solved yet.

Sorry about that!

The developers are aware of this long-lasting bug and they are very sorry about it.

Hopefully this will be fixed in a future update. This won't be fixed in version 2.6 unfortunately.

Does anyone know how to get them back? They're just greyed out and it tells me to sync them but they won't sync. So frustrating that this happens with every update. Not only that but it created a duplicate "offline device" so it knocked my PC off and now I have to resync everything there, too.

Now I have to deal with a playlist where half the songs are greyed out with no way to fix it. Even removing them from the playlist then adding them back in doesn't work because my phone refuses to sync.

e: Reinstalled the app, disabled updates for Spotify. Annoying, but it fixed the problem. Not updating the app until this issue is fixed since it's way more hassle than it's worth.

To get them to resync you will have to reinstall the app.

Again, the developers are looking into a fix for this.
