iOS docked in car gets Spotify stuck on "repeat one"

iOS docked in car gets Spotify stuck on "repeat one"

Hi,

Tried all possibilities, hope someone can help. I have Spotify on an iPhone 6 and works flawless except when I have it connected to my car, a Nissan Versa 2012 with a proprietary cable to Apple 30 pin and an Apple original connector from 30 pin to Lightning. Whenever it is connected, Spotify gets stuck in "repeat one". If I disconnect the cable, it works fine. I tried with a different account on an iPhone 7 Plus with the same result. I tried both phones in another car (a rental Ford with Sync) and it worked just fine. Already did the expected steps like reinstalling the application and logout/login to no avail.

I could blame on the car, however other players (Amazon, Google and Apple) works without a problem and, even more important, so did Spotify until a few months ago. I don't recall which update actually introduced the bug and no idea how to troubleshoot further.

Steps to reproduce:

- Open Spotify, start to play any album

- Connect phone to car

- Change song (Pressing next or wait current song to finish)

- Next song starts and "repeat one" get set

- Change repeat setting to "repeat all" or "no repeat" only affects the current song. As soon as the song changes, "repeat one" is set again.

- Disconnect from car

- Hit next, "repeat one" does not get set
