[iOS][macOS] Spotify repeatedly rewinds 10 seconds regardless of playback state

My Issue

I encountered some very strange behavior on both the iOS and macOS Spotify apps. Spotify seems to repeatedly rewind its playback position (by 10 seconds) with no actual input from the user (me). This happened repeatedly, and, in some cases (i.e., in the native iOS Spotify app), the playhead even went into negative territory. The app(s) would output audio at the current time position, for a second or so, before another rewind occurred. The app(s) would also respond to seek actions when I moved the playhead around, but the rewinding did not stop.

I thought it might have just been an issue with my 3.5mm-to-Lightening adapter, but the behavior continued when I plugged my headphones directly into my MacBook.

Notes

• It looks like the rewind behavior occurred even when playback was paused.

• I had to compress the screen recordings and ZIP them to get below 5Mb. For some reason, the file upload widget would not allow me to upload .mp4 files—despite the fact that the error messaging explicitly states that .mp4 files are accepted (*scratches head*). See attached web screenshot.

• If the screen recordings are missing audio, that's probably because I was streaming the music from my MacBook, through my headphones. The iOS / Quicktime recorders might not have picked up the audio. But there *was* audio playback on both platforms.
