iPad Pro 12.9" - "now playing" view is too large, can't thumbs up/down or see text, its cut off

I'm not sure if this has always been the case because I just started using spotify on the ipad pro in the last few weeks. However, when you play music, then tap on the bottom of the screen to bring up the "now playing" view which shows big album art and the album art of the upcoming song, it appears to be too large. I can just see the top of the text on the bottom, but the rest is cut off, and the thumbs up/down and controls are not visible (I assume they're down  too low, off screen).

Just a quick update that it seems closing the app and restarting it fixes this, at least temporarily.

Might be caused by switching between apps, not sure.
