iPad does not 'forget' corrupted local files

iPad does not 'forget' corrupted local files

I had a Marilyn Manson album in my local files on my pc running Windows 7 which i had ripped from a cd. These songs were saved as a playlist and sync'd to my ipad. It turns out these songs were corrupted ( they got stuck and jumped around a bit) and so I unlinked them on the pc in order to listen to the songs from from the Spotify catalogue instead and sync those to my ipad. However, the ipad will not forget the local files, even though i have deleted them from the local files folder and the windows directory as well. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Spotify on the pc to no avail. Every time i add the album from the Spotify catologue to a new playlist, the ipad keeps a hold of the corrupted local files.

I am a premium user. Any suggestions please?

Have you tried removing Spotify and re-installing on the iPad?

Thanks Peter. Presumably that means I lose all my offline tracks in my collection and I will need to sync them again?
As per other similar threads, do you know if Spotify are any closer to a solution that does not involve reinstalling the app to clear the cache?

Unfortunately I know as much as you on that one! 😞
