Hello again! I do already have songs that are labeled explicit, and it lets me play them, but I did check and it will allow me to play songs with that label. I’ve also tried making a whole new playlist, but it still wouldn’t let me add them, and when I looked into previously made playlists that had those songs, it said they were included, but didn’t actually show them when I looked through the playlists.
While typing this, I tried adding them directly from the album, like you suggested, and it worked! Seriously, thank you so much for all of your help and suggestions throughout the last couple weeks, and I hope you have a great day!
Hey there @sand_eater,
Thanks for reaching out about this and welcome to the Community!
Just to confirm, is this only happening with the songs you've previously removed? Also, does this happen in a specific playlist or in all your playlists?
On another note, you mentioned that you've already reinstalled the app, but would you mind going through the steps of a clean reinstall, as it's more thorough than a normal one?
If this doesn't do the trick, would you mind sending us a short screen recording of the issue happening so we can take a closer look? You can attach it to your next response by using the Insert Video option in the post editor. You can also upload it to Google Drive and share the link with us (make sure the video has the permissions for anyone to see it).
We'll be waiting for your reply.
Hi! Sorry I’ve been away for a bit so I haven’t been able to respond, but I tried the clean reinstall and it didn’t have any outcome. Here’s an attachment of me trying to add one of the songs to my playlist, and how it doesn’t show up once added

Hi there @sand_eater,
Thanks for getting back to us.
Would you mind checking if the same happens while your iPhone's connected to a different network? We'd also recommend checking if the OS of your iPhone is up to date.
On another note, could you ask a friend or a relative to log in to their account on your iPhone to see if they can replicate this behavior with their account?
We'll be waiting for your reply.
Hello again! I’ve tried adding the songs while I was at two separate places, which had separate routers. Just after reading this reply, I’ve checked, and my iPhone is up to date. Once I added the songs on my iPhone, then checked Spotify on my MacBook, and they showed up there, but still not on the mobile version.
Thanks for the reply @sand_eater.
On the screen recording you shared, I noticed that the song you added to the playlist had an explicit tag. Could you check if you've allowed playback of explicit content on your phone? You can do that in the app's settings. It's also worth checking if Show unplayable songs is toggled on.
Something else you can try is adding the song from a different source: try adding the song from the Search tab, from the album page or from the Now Playing View to see if that does the trick. You can also add the song to another playlist and check if it would show up there.
Let us know how it goes. Cheers 🤘
