iPhone app loses now playing screen

iPhone app loses now playing screen

iOS 11

Hi - more often than not, if I stop/pause Spotify, for example when I get to work, when I open the app again to restart from where I was, there is no now playing screen so I'm unable to restart from where I was.

There are times this seems to happen after a very short amount of time (less than hour), whereas sometimes I can re-open the app after nearly a full day and the now playing screen is still there.

Is there a way I can ensure I always keep the now playing screen open?  It's very frustrating if I'm at a certain point within a particularly long playlist and don't want to restart and I don't know where I was.

Thanks

Hi,

It happens to me often as well. It is tied to iOS as well. iOS 11 is pretty buggy and I recommend installing the latest version of it which is currently 11.4. iOS 12 will be better as they said, I am currently testing it on my 5s. This issue is mainly due to RAM management issues so the app closes and you can't do that until your reopen it and start playing something.

But Spotify as well should do something about it's app for this part.

Have a ncie day 🙂
