iPhone heating up and draining battery

I'm running the latest version of Spotify (8.4.3) on an iPhone 6 on iOS 10.3.1. I was previously on 10.3.2 but I downgraded to see if that would fix my issue but unfortunately it didn't. This problem just stated recently as well

Sorry to hear that you're having overheating issues. We'll help you out.

We'd recommend ensuring that you're back on the latest version of iOS again. Good to see that you're running the latest version of the app, too.

To check, are you streaming over WiFi or 4G, or both? 

Do you have a lot of music saved for offline listening, if you're Premium?

We'd also recommend closing any other running apps that you might not be using. Just double-tap the Home button and swipe up on all the other apps.

As it turns out the problem was Snapchat draining my battery. It's strange
because whenever I opened Spotify my battery drained so didn't really seem
like Snapchat would be the problem
