iPhone volume set to full when listening on computer

Hello,

When I am listening to spotify on my computer and I have the spotify app runing in the background on my iphone, it will set the iPhone volume to match the volume slider on the desktop app. This slider is always set to full and I use the computers system volume to adjust the volume level. This is incredibly annoying when I start using my phone again and the volume is set to max volume.

How do you disable this feature? I have tried turning off the "Devices Lock Screen" feature and it still leaves my phone on max volume.
