So i want to play songs that are on my laptop(itunes, local files on spotify) on my phone(through spotify). Following intructions given to me from my iphone, i put the songs on a playlist and marked it for a so callled "offline sync" but on my phone, it still says waiting to download.
I looked up a solution for that, and it suggested deleting spotify and reinstalling it(1.). It didnt work. Another said that i didnt have enough space, even though i have 20 GB(2.)! Finally, another website said some dumb **** that i had to be on the same wifi network, WHICH I WAS!
I transfered every song from on my itunes app(laptop) to my music app(phone). However, nothing at all showed up on my local files, even songs i bought.
SO, my questions are does anyone know how to get spotify(iphone) to play music from my music app(iphone), OR if anyone ACTUALLY knows how to play music(laptop files) on spotify(phone)? I would apprectaite every help.

Hello:
I moved your post over to the Help - iOS area of the community so it might get better focus. The area of the community Content Questions is about music content questions.
And I am not all familiar with iOS and Mac systems, so maybe another iOS/Mac user or another Rock Star can walk you through the process?

First you will have to go to the settings page in the Spotify desktop app and scroll down to the "Local Files" section to import your local files. Then you will need to create a new playlist and copy them to that playlist. There is already a built in "Local Files" playlist in the desktop app, but it is best to create a separate playlist and copy them all there because the built in "Local Files" playlist in the mobile app doesn't have an available offline toggle. Then while connected to the same WiFi connection as your computer, turn on the "available offline" switch in the playlist in the Spotify iOS app. The iOS app needs to stay open with the device's screen on in order for the sync to complete. Depending on how many local files you have it can take a while and you will need to turn off your device's auto lock feature temporarily so that the screen can stay on. (I recommend leaving it plugged in on a table with auto lock turned off)
The Spotify iOS app cannot import local files from the iOS music app. The desktop app will sync the local files over to the Spotify iOS app if both your computer and iOS device are connected to the same WiFi network. Sorry for the confusion.
If that doesn't work, take a look through the thread, I have suggested tips.
Update:
So the post I linked to was a little bit outdated because Spotify recently updated the link for the help guide. I have updated that post with the latest info.
