I just upgraded my iphone spotify app to version 1.0.0.3251. With this version album art is not shown when listening in off-line mode. Extremely dissappointing, hoping this is just a bug and will be corrected soon. If not, how can i go back the the previous version of the app? My Iphone is a 3GS running the latest iOS release for that model which is 6.1.6.
[Mod edit - Dec. 8, 2014]
Hello everyone. Spotify 2.1.0 has been released to the App Store as of this morning. We believe this issue to be fixed in this latest version. Please post here to let us know if the problem persists.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Yep, it's a bug in the new version. It should be fixed later on. There is no ETA for the fix at this time.
I have already reported this bug to the iOS developers.
do you have your playlist in offline mode?
add a new song to that playlist.. then in setting > playback > switch to online for add that new song...(that is sync) then switch again on offline at the end of that sync.
all your list most work now with cover art in offline mode
Version 2.1 is now out! All album art bugs should be fixed including the display of album art for local files.
Thanks for your patience and enjoy your album covers!
Most people will not have to resync, but if you still don't have album art, try resyncing everything or a fresh app install.

Hey, Thanks for the quick response!
Hi any update re missing album art? Thanks...
The iOS developer team is aware of the problems with album art.
Hopefully they will be fixed in the next update. Please be patient until then. I know it's annoying to wait so long.
There will hopefully be a fix for this problem coming soon. I'll post back when/if I get more details.
coming soon?...when? another month?...is terrible in the life of a premium user hace this bug... developers dont care costumers feelings
Sorry, I misread.
Album art is showing up for me in offline mode.
I'm using the lastest iOS version 1.1 is that the same version you are using?
Try turning offline mode on, and then play a song you have downloaded.
Does the album art show up?
This should have been fixed in the latest 1.1 update.
dont word...no art covers in offline mode here
my version is iOS 1.1.0.2549
when will be another update?
😞
No, this is not fixed for me yet. With off-line mode turned on there is no album art. Where the album art should be there is only a grey box with a lighter inner circle with a musical note in the circle.
I have an iPhone 3gs with 8G.
I am runniing iOS 6.1.6 (the latest available for this version iPhone).
I have Spotify v1.1.02549.
Still hoping for an update to fix this problem. Thanks,
-Jim
Which songs are you trying to play?
Spotify songs or local files that you synced to your device?
Spotify songs should be showing album art in offline mode.
There is a bug with local files where it doesn't show the album art inside of the app.
This bug should be fixed in the next update. I don't know when that update will come though.
They are Spotify songs that are cached on my iPhone so I can play when I dont have wifi or 3g connectivity. I don't have these songs on my PC. -Jim
Maybe it's a bug when running iOS 6 on your device.
plotpoint, what version of iOS are you using? iOS 6 or iOS 7?
It's working for me using iOS 7, so if we can figure out which iOS it's affecting, I can let the developers know.
all versions listed in my post several minutes back, however i will list them again ...
iPhone 3gs with 8G.
iOS 6.1.6 (the latest available for this version iPhone).
