offline music between platforms

offline music between platforms

I would like to download music to my MacBook for offline listening, but don't want to take up any space on my iphone.

Can I have different lists of offline music between platforms?  For example, can my list of offline music on my iphone be different from m list of offline music on my MacBook?

Hello @user-removed. Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community!

What a wonderful question! You absolutely can have different playlists of offline music on up to 3 different devices. I do this all the time since the music I listen to in the car is different from the music I like to DJ with on my iPad. Here's how:

Different Offline Playlists for Each Device

  1. Make up to 3 playlists for your devices for offline downloading
(I have 2 total; 1 for my Phone and 1 for my iPad)
  2. Add music to those playlists from any device you're logged into
  3. Flip that Download Switch! for the playlist you want saved from the you'd like it saved to.

Presto! - That's it; your devices should each have a playlist that automagically updates each time you add new songs to it. You may need to occasionally fire up the Spotify app on each device periodically to allow it to sync the playlist, but otherwise you're good to go.

Let me know if I helped and keep on rockin'!
