recently played artists and playlist don’t show up on the mobile app

recently played artists and playlist don’t show up on the mobile app

Why does “recently played” whether it be artist or playlistit not show up on the app like it does on the desktop, like it used to before the most recent app update. I have deleted, restarted, cleared cache. Still nothing.

Because they changed the UI without telling anyone and it's garbage, and there's no way to switch it back or give feedback other than going out of your way to talk about it here. Funny because they did the exact same thing two years ago and got flamed for it, someone really thinks they are right and the rest of the user base is wrong. Hopefully they switch it back asap I have no issue leaving for Apple Music. 

some of my friends still have it after the update, but I don’t. Which makes no damn sense. This is making me actually angry. Spotify cares is a joke too. What a dumb group. 

They shared that it's only a trial - ok so if it's only a trial then we should be able to opt out & provide feedbck. They change it for just a select handful of users to see the effects so they don't gain mass media attention about the complaints. So - make some noise. This new layout is trash and takes away from my experience. It gives too much space to things I don't want and takes away my ease of access to what I do want on my home screen. I'm all for layout changes but this is just terrible.
