spotify can't open this type of link on this device, iphone, heos

I just bought heos.
They connect fine on android. Also with spotify

They appear on My heos app on iphone 5s, ios 9
But when i try to connect heos with spotify on iphone, the spotify app simple states : can't open this type of link on this device.

Please advice on how to troubleshoot the spotify connect feature

Have you tried using the Spotify app?

Please follow these steps:

Open the Spotify app and play any song.

Tap the name of the song on the bottom of the app.

Proceed by tapping the speaker symbol.

You should see all devices available to play with the Connect feature.

This works, Even though there is No speaker symbol. When just playing a song.

Instead, pression the bar in the bottom of the app, opens the player in a fuld screen.
If I do it onde more, however, A devices menu appear. From there I can select the heos speakers.

Android is easier?!
On androod, the same list of devices is exposed in settings...
