spotify doesn't allow to stream to connected devices

every time I'm trying to stream music to my receiver using iphone, I always have to use itunes to connect to device, cuz though spotify lists my device in the list of devices to stream and it tries to connect to it, it never connects. So I have to connect using iphone music app and after device is connected and I can listen what is played on apple music app, I can switch to spotify and it starts streaming. I.e. when device is connected to iphone, spoitify streaming using iphone protocol works, but when I'm trying to initiate connection through spotify it always spins, and can't connect to receiver. It used to be different 2 years ago, but stopped to work now. I'm using yamaha receiver which is very stable and I think the issue is in spotify.
