spotify gets stuck at one song

My Question or Issue

spotify have always got stuck once in a while for me. i am listening to music through bluetooth with airpods, and it happens that one song just breaks the app completely. i cant skip neither go back to the previous song. i cant even pause it anymore. the only solution is to close the app entirely and open it again and then it works. its always a different song and functions like view queue are not working either. sometimes it doesnt happen at all and works fine but this morning it happened 5 times in a 30 minute listening session and its beyond frustrating. i have screen recorded one but file is too large to attach. anyways please fix. so annoying.

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

To begin with, let us know if this only happens while playing Spotify through Bluetooth, or if it also happens while listening directly on your mobile device. On another note, we understand you already reinstalled the app, however, we'd recommend running a clean reinstall. This is a more thorough process and it might help. 

If it doesn't, we'll need to check if this is account-related. To do so, try logging into your account on a different device and check if you have the same issue. It could be a family member or friend's device. Or you could also try using a different account on your device to check.

Lastly, send over the Spotify version you are currently running.

i use spotify on tv and on pc as well there are no problems there. did the clean reinstall, did nothing.

the version on ios is 8.8.75.709, but i honestly think thats not important since i have this issue for a while so there has been multiple updates.

im very frustrated about this because apple music works perfectly fine. i wont be testing it with wired headphones, no. the clean reinstall was the furthest i was willing to go with this.

ill just switch to apple music completely i guess which is kinda sad since ive been using spotify since 2019 without a problem.
