the dreaded OOPS!

My Question or Issue

I deleted an old account. I then used a different email address to create a different account and everything went swimmingly until I tried to use Spotify on my iPhone. (It had worked fine the day before I cancelled the one account and set up the new.) I have offloaded the app, uninstalled, & reinstalled but when I tap the app I get, “Error oops something went wrong…. I even chatted with support today and they couldn’t fix it. Frustrating! I can log in with the windows app and my daughter got in on the family plan just fine and spotify on her iphone is working fine.

Is this a 14 day wait thing? I used a different address.

Welcome to the Spotify Community!

Just to make sure we're on the same page, you're trying to log in to your new account on your iPhone, correct? Double-check your login information from the desktop app (by clicking your profile picture in the top right corner > Account), as you might be accidentally trying to log in to your old account that you recently deleted (it may take up to 14 days for the deletion process to finalize).

If the login details are correct, try connecting to a different network (you can also ask a family member to create a mobile hotspot) or use cellular data instead - just make sure Spotify's allowed network access. More info here.
