when i play a song then lock screen or close spotify it now then fade the music out

when i close spotify the music fades out the when i open it up again it starts. Very annoying also most of the album artwork has gone.

any insight into this problem would be gratefull.

Hi, how did you Rectify the issue? I have the same problem now. It was working fine yesterday and now it isn't. How can I fix it? If I reinstall app will I lose playlists?

The playlist data is all saved on our servers so you won't lose the tracks contained in them. If you've downloaded any for offline use you'll need to resync them after a reinstall though.

It works to just install the app and reinstall it, annoying having to resync but doesn't take too long

Try going in and out of "offline mode".

This sometimes happens to me and even though the music is playing, you can see the play icon instead if the pause icon. Pressing play again resolves it and then you can lock it without the music stopping.

To elaborate, this happens to me if I have been playing songs in Spotify, then I go into a different app. (so Spotify was in a "playing" state). When I go back into Spotify, it remembers that the music was playing and so it starts playing, but the icon shows "play" instead of "pause". When I lock the screen the music stops. When I unlock it, it starts again. The fix us to click on "play" again. Then when you lock the screen the music persists. Hope that is all clear?

Hey, I have a bit of a different issue. When I play music on my iPhone, and I get an incoming message, mail or something similar, the song fades the volume as the message sound comes. In normal cases, the volume goes back to where it was. I my case it often just stays at that lower volume. So I increse the sound. If I get a new incoming message, the volume will increase as much as it was lowered lats time, making the volume way to high if I already increased it. Any workaround on this?
