Hello,
I have a Onkyo TX-NR3010 with Spotify Connect. Near this receiver I have placed a Wireless Access Point. This AP is connected via Wireless Bridging to the main Wireless router in the other room. I have done this, so I don't have to use cabling between rooms.
This works all pretty fine. I mean, speeds is perfect, I can use all equipment connected to the AV receiver (PS4, Chromecast, Apple TV, Onkyo online music services, etc).
Except! Spotify Connect. This does't work if I'm connected to the main Wireless router or any other Wireless Access Point in the house(I have 4 in total). These are all connected to the same network, same subnet, no firewalling or any routing protocol between them.
It ONLY works if I connect directly to the Wireless Access Point, located next to the Onkyo receiver.
It looks like the Spotify Connect protocol doesn't traverse the Wireless Bridging functionality of the wireless network. I have tested different vendors (d-link, asus, tp-link). I am pretty sure that the problem is not the Wireless equipment. Also it is clear to me that the Onkyo is fine, because Spotify Connect works fine if I connect directly to the AP next to the receiver (the receiver has a RJ45 cable directly connected to this AP)
Is this a known issue? Any workaround available, instead of keep switching back to the AP directly connected to the AV receiver?
Many thanks
