Links to open.spotify.com and play.spotify.com open the web player on Google Chrome. There is no "Settings" tab in the web player, and going to https://open.spotify.com/settings just redirects to https://open.spotify.com/settings/account, which in turn links to the full webpage's Account Settings (and nothing else).
This thread seems related, but refers to a Settings page in the web player which does not exist.
WORKAROUND: If I open the link in the web player, I can then use "Spotify Connect" to choose to listen on my desktop. From there, I can access the content in the desktop app normally.
