When Spotify is playing through bluetooth on my phone, the media controls are broken unless they are clicked directly through the phone. 

For example, when my phone is connected to my car's bluetooth and playing spotify, I cannot use the car's bluetooth controls to control my music on Spotify. Same with my wireless earbuds; when playing Spotify through my phone using my earbuds, I cannot use the bluetooth controls on my earbuds (Play, Pause, Next) unless I jump back on my phone. 

Looking at previous posts, there's been a few others through the years with this issue, but none of the solutions have fixed my current issue. Any thoughts?
