My Question or Issue
a few weeks ago release radar started adding 'commentary' tracks from artists that I would normally like. at first it was only one or two, and seemed understandable, so i 'disliked' them and assumed release radar would learn to skip 'commentary' tracks... BUT NO. today, THERE ARE FIVE!!!!!!!!! i am beyond annoyed, as a) release radar isn't learning my preferences like it's supposed to, b) i've never listened to a commentary track before, so i don't know why it thinks i'll like them, c) they're wasting space on my radar that other, better songs could fill, d) at this rate, next week my release radar is going to be nothing but commentary tracks.
WHY ISN'T "I dislike this song" WORKING? not to mention, some of the commentary tracks it's adding are off the exact same commentary album as the ones i've disliked before (sugarland, midland, the cadillac three)... but it's now also finding even more to add (thomas rhett, eli young band).
release radar is usually my favourite part of spotify but it is really pissing me off lately!!!
an aside: there should really be a way to "blacklist" any songs that have the word "commentary" in them - but apparently that 'feature' never gets enough votes, despite being brought up all the time. the '100 votes per year' qualifier is bs - it should be by total of votes, regardless of time period.
https://community.spotify.com/t5/Closed-Ideas/Music-Opt-out-of-Commentary-Tracks/idi-p/1152443 - almost 200 votes, but closed.
https://community.spotify.com/t5/Closed-Ideas/Music-Block-Hide-Blacklist-Tracks-or-Artists/idi-p/223... - ALMOST 5000 VOTES, but feature still rejected with absolutely no reason given.
