My Question or Issue

I am a paying customer, have been for a very long time, and I am also a software developer, also for a very long time. I've worked with marketing, R&D, bizOps, the whole gamut of where a developer could be involved. Without a doubt, this particular issue is something that baffles my mind especially after reading post after post after post spread throughout the internet and here and there is still no resolution found.

So let me make this very simple, very clear and concise, and hopefully understandable: You have a sexually explicit problem and are exposing countless children, teens, and adults to it without their permission. In fact, this is so damning to you as a company, I am incredibly surprised lawsuits have not been filed by states that require users to be aware they're being exposed to sexually explicit material especially if the user is underage.

Going back to why I made mention of the departments I've worked with and the understanding of software development in most businesses, is because no answer provided by moderators on this forum or company replies found elsewhere on the internet (reddit being another great example) explains why sexually explicit material cannot be removed from a users home page either easily or difficultly, it just can't be done. Regardless of the reason Your shows is on the home page, financial, marketing, R&D, whatever it may be, you must have a way to allow parents or people who don't want to see sexually explicit images. You certainly allow a switch to let users hear explicit lyrics or not, but you won't allow a switch to hide explicit cover artwork. 

Please do not provide a copy / paste answer from some set of guidelines PR offered to resolve these concerns, I've clearly stated my case as well as many other users on this issue and someone needs to own up to this mess and offer a hot-fix ticket that can be resolved and pushed as a software update asap.
