Account interference on different Spotify sessions and suddent Music stop

Account interference on different Spotify sessions and suddent Music stop

Context:

  1. I have a Spotify  "Premioum Duo" Plan, with two users, User_A and User_B.
  2. I have multiple loudspeakers/google devices which are linked to the same Google home and part of the same Speaker group.
  3. User_A and User_B are not only part of the same Spotify Membership but also are configured as Managers of the same Google Home.
  4. Spotify is currently not set as Default Music Player in Google Home (I thought it could solve the issue.
  5. Jam function is deactivated.

Issues, which make the Spotify experience very annoying:

  1. While User_A uses Spotify on his Smartphone (either connected in wifi or Data), the playing stops and starts in the default Google Speakers Group as soon as User_B says "Hey Google, Play some music".
  2. When the Music is playing with Spotify through a Google Speakers group, it suddenly stops playing. This repeats many times in a hour.

What I have already done:

  1. Googled for a solution.
  2. Searched on Spotify Community
  3. Deleted Spotify cache on Smartphones
  4. Unliked Spotify from Google Home and re-linked.
  5. Updated "Voice Match" on Google Home for all the users.

Hey @boletusatanas,

Thanks for posting in the Community!

To start, could you make sure only one of you is set as manager of Google Home and the other one is a member? More info you can find here. It's also a good idea to double-check you're both logged into the correct accounts on your devices.

Keep us posted.
