Affect on playlist when removing plan member

Affect on playlist when removing plan member

I need to remove my ex-husband from my plan. He is currently a Plan Member and I am the Plan Manager. If I do this, will he lose all of his playlists?!

Thanks!

Hi @kaylaw666,

Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community, and welcome!

No worries, removing your ex-husband from your Premium plan won't cause him to lose any of his playlists; no matter which Spotify plan you switch to or from, you can keep your same Spotify account with all your playlists and saved music.

If you're the plan manager for a Premium Duo plan, you can remove the other member from the plan by following the steps in this support article; and if you're the plan manager for a Premium Family plan, you can follow the steps in this other support article to remove a member from the plan.

After you remove your ex-husband from your Premium plan, his Spotify account will revert to the free service. If he'd like to start his own Premium plan, he can then feel free to sign up here.

Bear in mind that members can only switch between different Premium Family or Premium Duo plans once a year.

Let me know if you have any other questions, and have a good day!
