Album recommendation emails

Lately I've been recieving emails almost daily with recommendations for new albums by Chet Baker ("You are receiving this notification because you have listened to Chet Baker."). According to my last.fm stats I have listened to Chet Baker a total of eight times the last twelve months. It seems like the album recommendation algoritm is broken. Does anyone else have this problem?

I don't get these emails as I turned them off in my account profile settings 🙂

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂 

If you have been updated to the most recent version of the client (v0.8.8, check Help > About for version), it would appear that you might be following Chet Baker and that is why you are getting these updates. During the update process, Spotify automatically followed some artists which they "think" you like or have starred. You should be able to "Unfollow" them by going to your "Follow" tab on the left hand side of the client, selecting "Following" and then removing Chet Baker. 

If you are still using an older version than 0.8.8 then just post back here and I will ask around for you. If you would rather not receieve email notifications from Spotify, you can turn them off as Liam suggests from your online profile by setting the email preferences to "Never".
