Block a user profile completly

Hi, with thte new blocking feature how come once you've blocked the user of your choosing their profile is still visible to you? Like most socal media platforms when you block a user profile you are no longer able to see or search their profile --stopping all froms of abuse. 

Please let me know if this is possible or can be while blocking another user on Spotify.

By blocking a user's profile, you prevent them from following you, but you cannot follow them either. Their profile, however, is still visible in the app in case you change your mind.

To whom it may concern, 

In regards to your blocking feature-

I think it would be alot more valueable that once you block a user account the person blocking the user cannot see that profile upon searching for it in spotifys search engine. However, if you decide to unblock that user at a period in time - you would go into a blocked settings menu to unblock them which releases their profile in spotify's search engine again,making it visible to them. Most other forms of social media follows this layout and I think for mental, social, and physical health this would help a lot of users be able to erase someone that possed a threat to them or stalks them. 

Nonethless, we are so grateful there is now an option to block users. We really appreciate it. Maybe one day the tip mentioned above can be part of a spotify update.

yes I wanted to ask You Spotify to make the blocked person completely invisible for the blocker as I am really trying to get over my ex boyfriend but I have no self-control and can’t stop checking his account, which drives me completely crazy and I am currently planning to change music app since I can’t stop doing it and afterwards I just get angry and sad 😞 Please make the blocked person’s profile completely invisible for people like me, painfully dealing with brake up (for example)

i completely understand where you’re coming from. well both just have to get through this together. i’ve been broken up from my ex for presumably a longer period of time and i can say that i feel better, but i think the fact that my ex’s spotify account is still visible to me still makes things unnecessarily more difficult for me in regards to this aspect of my life. I just wanna be at peace and I genuinely believe it would be so much more helpful for people like us if Spotify made the blocking feature a two-way street. The way the blocking feature works currently is borderline useless when the person doing the blocking is still able to view the blocked person’s account. To whoever is in charge, I ask that you and your team please make the blocking feature a mutual transaction.

**bleep** we r all having the same problem I'm literally obsessively checking his account every hour. its so unhealthy. its very strange that the blocking is one sided. pls change this 😭
