Can't change email

When I follow the steps to change my email I receive this error:

"For your protection we are unable to process your request at the moment. Please try again later"

I am sorry to hear this. Can you try changing your email again by following these steps using a different browser or private window? 

If that doesn't work, send me a screenshot of any error messages you're getting, making sure to hide sensitive info when posting to the Community.

Shutting off my VPN briefly solved the issue. Think spot has flags that as suspicious.

The address I'm trying to change has leaked several times over the years along with passwords etc. (password has been changed). But due to massive amounts of data leaks happening everywhere all at once, all the time I have decided to start using e-mail aliases instead to combat this. However it seems like a lot of companies aren't liking this for whatever reason, but still keep getting hacked and leaked left and right.

I tried to change my e-mail from my current one but when I tried to accept changes I'm presented with "Something went wrong."

Facebook isn't connected
I have checked my connected facebook apps and Spotify isn't in there. I've also changed my e-mail on Facebook to an alias. Works fine.

I've got some 300 accounts and sites left to check and change (they do accumulate under 20+ years) and every once in a while I run into sites where I either have to ask for assistance to change my e-mail, or the service simply doesn't allow me to use this type of address.

Anyone know what I should do? I'm trying to get rid of my google "footprint" but it seems impossible at times with such a high number of accounts to change.

If I attempt to change the e-mail address in the field below and press "save profile" I'm presented with: "To protect you, we are unable to process your request at this time. Try again later."

At this point I'm beyond frustrated.

I tried to change my email and what it kept saying was: “we want to keep it safe try again later”. I really want to have spotify on my pc in my account because i accidentally typed “hitmail” when making my account.
