Can't create an artist account

Hi,

I have some singles and an album on Spotify through TuneCore. I have been trying to create an artist account in order to manage the artwork on my artist page as advised on TuneCore (http://help.tunecore.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/306/~/setting-up-a-spotify-verified-artist-account). I made a new Spotify account and tried to complete the "Get Access". I can complete the "Spotify Account" and "Personal Details" pages just fine but when I click the "Next" button on the "Select Artist" page, I get a notice that says "Something went wrong. Please try again." This has happened every time I have tried. Is there some reason for this and can it be solved, please?

This seems to have fixed itself on its own just a few minutes ago... No idea what was wrong as I didn't enter any different details. Thanks for your help anyway!

The reason that you're unable to sign up to Spotify for Artists is that the link you've posted is a link to a user profile, not an artist page. To be able to sign up to Spotify for Artists, you need to have an artist page.

Hello @Maxim,

Does your answer mean that you have to upload your music through an aggregator before you can create your artist profile? Or once the aggregator uploads the music then the artist profile gets created?

I have been trying to join Spotify artists to share my music, and it won’t let me when I use the link from my account like it says. It won’t let me add and I don’t know why! Does anyone know what it isn’t working?
