Can't login after creating account

Can't login after creating account

Hello,

I'm posting on a friends behalf since he is unable to login to Spotify after creating an account. When he tries to login he gets a message stating "An error has occurred processing your login, please try again." When he tries to sign up again it states the email is already registered. He also tried doing a password recovery and the email he receives has a link to reset the password and when he clicks on it he gets a message stating " Seems this took a while. You have been logged out for security reasons, please click the reset link in the email you received again to continue."

 

He does not have a facebook so he can't link it with Spotify.

 

His username is Stangman444

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

It sounds like something has gone wrong during the registration process, it should be easily fixed. Tell your friend to get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form (making sure to include this account details) and they will be able to make sure his account is set up correctly. 

If he gets an automated email reply back directing him to the community or help pages, he needs to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to him as soon as possible.
