Here's the deal, I've been getting e-mails that my payments through Paypal weren't getting through. I've checked and rechecked, even confirmed my bank accounts and whatnot, and I'm still receiving e-mails from Spotify Billing that the automatic payment isn't working via Paypal.
Anyone any ideas?
Have you checked out our FAQ here?
Since when does my paypal require a linked creditcard?
That is to say, I do not have one bound to my Paypal account, my previous payments, which have been going on for a while now, have all passed without a hitch. My account is fully verified as well.

Hey 🙂
Paypal without an attached credit/debit card has always been a bit of a grey area, Spotify have always said that one needs to be connected to your account, but people including yourself seem to have been able to subscribe for a period of time before it stops working.
As it says in the FAQ, the credit or debit card is required in addition to your account being verified, I have never really understood why! Spotify normally use it to verify your location, to ensure you are using Spotify in a region where it is available but that should be possible to verify using your bank account details.
Have you tried purchasing a premium eCard and redeeming against your own account instead of subscribing directly?

Hammeh's idea works, but I do find it ridiculously tedious that a hole in the payment system is so irregular.
I would suggest having it not depend on credit-or debitcards, but that's me.
Hi there !
I have a debit card (Maestro, Belgium), not a credit card (visa, mastercard or so) attached to my verified Paypal account. For the previous 2-3 months, it worked perfectly, I was debited on my Paypal account each month and could see it on my bank account 2-3 days later.
But since last week, payments do not work anymore. It's like if the Spotify service stopped asking Paypal for my money, and then came to me saying "Hey, where's the money !?"....
Additionally, I created a support ticket, and when they tried to respond to me via private message. I discovered I had to post at least one message in the forums to be able to use private messaging. Nice touch Spotify 😉
Edit : I in fact had 2 private messages, to tell me that I earned a new rank in the Spotify Community. YAY \o/ 😕
