Can't lot in - e-mail not found?

Solved!

Can't lot in - e-mail not found?

So to make this short (I've already tried posting this four times today with no luck...), I can't log in to Spotify anymore. I have all the passwords I use written down, so I'm 100% the password is correct. When I try to reset the password, it tells me none of my three e-mail addresses are found. I tried sending it to my username instead, and that works... except I never got any reset password e-mails on any address?

BTW I had to make a whole new account just to post this, as I can't log in! So annoying. Can't log in to your account? Simply ask the helpful community. By logging in first. wth?

Hi, DuckPirate here, on my real account now. I contacted support (found a link on another thread here), and they solved the issue for me. My playlists are all gone now for whatever reason, but the account doesn't seem to have been altered by anyone. Support changed the e-mail to the correct one, so once I reset the password, everything works fine. 🙂

Hey @ChickenPirate!

I'm sorry to hear you're having these issues, but I'd love to help!

Are you able to find any of these password reset emails in your Spam/Junk folders? Also, does access the web inbox for these addresses (mail.google.com etc) in Incognito/Private Browsing mode help?

Let me know!

P.S. With the community connection, it helps to validate your profile 🙂 Keeps spam to a minimum

Hi, and thanks.

No, there are no password reset e-mails on any of the three e-mail addresses. What worries me the most is it seems Spotify is sending those e-mails, but since I'm not getting any, could someone else have stolen my account? I don't know why anyone would want to, though. I have a Premium subscription, but isn't the subscription all I can spend money on? And is that really enough to justify stealing an account? I wouldn't think so, but at this point I can't rule out anything.

And as for new account, I'm sorry for creating a new account just for this. But the problem is I need to log in to the community to get help, and what I need help with is logging in. So I need to solve the problem to get help with the problem. That's obviously not going to work. 🙂

Thanks for getting back to me, @ChickenPirate!

Do you have your Spotify account connected to Facebook? Also, what device is this happening on?

Don't fret about the second profile - I totally understand why you did it, and it's 100% okay 🙂

Let's get you going again with your tunes!

Im having the exact same problem with my account(this is a second account), It is not linked to Facebook, I have used all my emails, I know exactly what the password is, also when I log on to my phone app it logs on for 1 second and then kicks me off back to the login page.

As well my premium gets charged again in 2 days, I dont wanna pay for something that I cant use

Thanks for checking in here, @Tygrave14!

Just to double-check, is your phone Android?

Yea, unfortunatley XD 😉

But the problem is also on my computer, apparently, the account was log out of for no reason when my girlfriend went on my computer.

Ah, okay @Tygrave14!

With your phone, this issue is being tracked over to Ongoing Issues: https://community.spotify.com/t5/Ongoing-Issues/Can-t-log-into-my-account-on-the-app/idc-p/4404632#M... 🙂

You shouldn't have been logged out if your girlfriend was using your device, though. Does doing a clean reinstall of your desktop help? Find out how to here.

Cheers!

Spotify does not recognize my account, and I have already changed twice my password. That happened out of nowhere!. I, dont know what can I do?

I'll try it out now

Cheers 😉

It's okay, @Misacy! I'm here to help!

Would you mind just sending over some information? It'd be really good to know what device this is happening on, and what Spotify version you're running 🙂

Let me know!

Yea that didn't work.....

So basically its a problem on android that there's no fix too, and reinstalling doesn't work on desktop... ffs XD

Im too worried I just don't want to get charged if I cant use the account, so I'd want to cancel it which I cant do if I cant login

XD

Sorry about that, @Misacy!

While the teams at Spotify work to get this all going, you can always use the Spotify Web Player: https://open.spotify.com 🙂

I'll let you know if I've got any updates!

Hey again, @Misacy!

Would you mind getting in touch with Spotify Support about accessing your account on the Desktop app? They are available over email, Twitter and Facebook whenever you're free!

Cheers!
