Canceling spotify premium

Dear all,

I want (or at least need) to cancel my premium account because of the costs. However I have paid until 31-3-16. (The website says that my premium will be extended on 31-3-16 and I will be charged 9,99 for that). If I cancel now, will I have premium until the 31th?

Sorry to see you go! Spotify does have quite a few partnerships that provide free Spotify if you use their phone company, gaming system, etc. So that may be worth looking into in the future. Also, if you are a student at an eligible institution, you can have access to Spotify at 50% of the price in qualifying markets. 

In answer to your question, if you cancel today, your subscription will be Premium until the day that it would have renewed. According to your post, you would have Premium until 31-3-16.

Thanks for your quick reaction, with a 50% discount I would keep the premium subscription. The problem is that I live in the Netherlands. And as far as I can find, the student discount is not yet valid in the Netherlands.

If you know a workaround for this, I would love to hear it.

@spotify: I read an article that said that if the price would come down to 5 euro's per month, more than double the amount of people would subscribe. To summerice: half price, more than double the subscriptions. In other words, more mony comming in. This might be an idea to look into as a company.
