Changing Location Problem

Changing Location Problem

My account is currently GB registered and I'm trying to change it to US registered where I am now living. I have student account and believe I can get Hulu with this but I can't while it's GB registered. 

 

I have tried changing my location as instructed by Spotify but once I get to my account overview, the location tab where I should be able to change the location does not let me select the drop down to change the region. 

 

Please can someone help me out?

I am a Premium user and have been for a number of years now.

Thanks for letting me know.

 

You should be able to get your country setting updated by following the instructions shown at https://support.spotify.com/account_payment_help/account_basics/how-can-i-change-my-country-setting/.

I have tried this but the message I get reads: 

 

"Your payment method and country don't match.

To continue, change your account's location or use a different payment method." 

 

Any help would be great.

 

 

Hmm, you should be able to update your country setting by following the steps that I've sent to you. 

Can you clear your browser's cache and cookies and then try it again? Alternatively, you can try it in an incognito window.

 

 

And just to so you know: If you're not enrolled in an accredited college or university in the US, you won't be able to get the Hulu bundle.

I am getting exactly the same thing.  The country in the profile is grayed out, and using a card from a different country gives exactly the same error.  I like the OP have been a premium member for a number of years.  I have attached a screenshot of exactly what I get...

Hi, 

 

I have now fixed the issue I had with this. 

 

I messaged Spotify on their live chat and this was very helpful. Essentially, I had to cancel my premium subscription in order to change my location. I then had to put in a new payment card for the country that I wanted to change my location to before I could get my premium status back.

 

I advise you got through the live chat so they can talk you through everything and even do it all for you. Very helpful to me.
