Created new account and it logs on site, but not on iphone 5s app

Created new account and it logs on site, but not on iphone 5s app

I created a new account for my pops. I am able to login with those details on the spotify site but not on the iphone app. We are entering the username and password correctly. Wifi is working great on the phone. It just simply doesn't log on. These are spotify login credentials not facebook.

UPDATE:

 

Hey guys! I have just gotten confirmation that this problem should now be fixed. Please try logging out and back in. The fix might be a little slow, so please continue trying over the next hour or so.

 

I told you guys I was getting this looked into for you. Glad I was able to help with this.

What country are you in?

Spotify are currently investigating some login issues so this may be related.

Okay fair enough. I just thought maybe I was being negligent of something, but since it is on your end I'll stop breaking my head over it.

I tried again and still nothing. How long do you anticipate the fix might take?

I'm having the same problem.  I really intended to use it on my phone and just downloaded the app.  I'm not very tempted to upgrade or to switch from my paid Pandora if there's problems with a simple login on my phone.

Thanks Matt. This is going to be my 3rd account that I am paying for. Needsless to say that I love the service and this is the first time that I really encounter any issues. I would greatly appreciate it if you get this resolved because I am trying to gift spotify to my dad for his enjoyment.

It works now. Thank you guys!

I hate to "me too" over a year later but can't find many posts addressing this. Have logged out and back in on both site and Mac (oh yeah prob is on my MacBook not iPhone) multiple times as well as deleted all cache and app and reinstalled. Still same; can login to site just fine, using SAME EXACT INFO, app says "username or password incorrect"...
