Deleting spotify account help

Hi so I recently closed my spotify account because I was informed that when I did, my profile would be deleted (as in it wouldn't show up anymore at all and my followers and following would be cleared) but when I checked on my new account it was still there. For personal reasons i was really depending on my profile being deleted and i'm wondering if it ever will? I obviously can't log back in and clear it myself, if i'd known i wouldve done so before. do i have to speak to spotify directly for this?

It can take 14-30 days for an account to be fully deleted 🙂 I recommend waiting this time and if you still see it after 30 days, let me know.
