Family Premium - still can't play music at the same time

Family Premium - still can't play music at the same time

Hello 🙂 we've upgraded to Family Premium. We have invited all family members, but still we can't play music at the same time. What have we not done wright?

You hav one account that you signed up for Spotify family. Log in to that account on https://www.spotify.com/uk/account/ and under "Premium for famliy" you invite your other family members. So, all the other family members need their own initial free account. Then it will be transformed to a premium account after you invited them. 

Everybody has been invited and all of them have accepted the invitation - still it doesn't work...

On your account settings at spotify.com, are the connections stated as "active" or just "invited"?

the status is "invite sent", but when they respond to the invitation, the message is always "you are already a member"...

Are you trying to activate the accounts from the same device? You need to make sure that you are logged in on the right account when you try to activate. The order should be: 

1. send new invite

2. log out from your subscriber account and clear cache history in your browser just to make sure. 

3. log in to e-mail, check junk mail if you can't find the invite. 

4. follow the link and log in to the account beloning to the person that you are currently trying to add to your family plan. 

 

If none of the above works, use another web browser to activate the account in your family plan. Or, even better, use another device.
