Fraudulent charge on my credit card

Fraudulent charge on my credit card

My credit card was billed by Spotify USA for something that neither my wife nor I authorized or know what it is. The phone number on our Visa statement listed next to Spotify USA is a non-working number. There is currently no way other than this message board to resolve this problem. Declaring this as a fradulent charge to VISA requires us to have new credit cards issued. How do I contact Spotify USA and get this issue resolved?

Hi @JRay1, thanks for writing.

Have you subscribed to the Premium plan recently? What was the amount charged?

You can always check what you’re being charged by logging in to your Spotify receipts page.

Any extra charges may also only be 'pending' and won't complete. A pending charge is a part of your bank or credit card company's authorization process. If the transaction doesn’t successfully complete, no money will be taken and the charge will soon disappear. For more information, contact your bank/credit card company.

Let me know how that goes 🙂

Note: I'm not a Spotify employee.

I have not ordered or purchased anything from Spotify, ever.
No receipts are listed on the Spotify receipt page.
My Visa was clearly billed $4.99 by Spotify USA. The phone number listed on the VISA statement is not a working number.
This stinks. I am notifying my credit card company that this charge is fraudulent and they will cancel this card.
