Got 6 free months via FIDO but still got charged $9.99

Got 6 free months via FIDO but still got charged $9.99

I was at the end of my free promo with Spotify Premium acc. but then I signed up for a new cellphone plan with FIDO and activated 6 free months of Premium Spotify. There was a code to enter and I linked my account to it on Monday. Today (Wednesday, Aug 31, 2016) I got charged $9.99 for preium. Please advise.

Hey @mseug,

Try logging into your Spotify profile on your browser here with your email. Your username will be displayed after you login.

After that, check the status of your subscription. It should read 'Your subscription is associated with our partner Fido'.

If your subscription appears as Free, or regular Premium. you need to link your Fido account to your Spotify again.

You need to cancel your regular Premium and then go to Fido's site to get a code to activate your Spotify Premium. Then, enter the code it gives you here.

Hope it helps. 🙂

It didn't work. I got the code, followed promts on Fido Hub and it showed me Premium subscription status (expiring Feb 27, 2016) but I was unable to use the code in REDEEM link (says: "Unfortunately this Premium code does not seem to be valid. Try again or contact customer service." ).

My spotify account does not show it's associated with Fido. (see attached screenshots)

@mseug,

Fill out the contact form, and someone from Spotify will be happy to help you within 24 hrs. Don't forget to check your spam folder for responses as they may end up there.

If you get an automated email directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to support@spotify.com and one of the customer services agents will get back to you.
