How do I separate my Alexa listening from my phone/Mac?

How do I separate my Alexa listening from my phone/Mac?

I have several Alexa devices at home, which my wife and kid regularly use to stream music. The Alexa skill is connected to my Premium account, and it's VERY annoying: I'm listening to something in my office, and when they request a song from Alexa, my playback is interrupted.

The opposite also happens: They are listening to something, and when I hit play on a song, their playback is interrupted

Hey, @phrfpeixoto84
Welcome to the Spotify Community, and thanks for reaching out to us here!

There is no way to separate your playback on your personal devices and the Echo devices, because they all are linked to the same Spotify account. In this case, the best approach would be subscribing to a Premium Family plan, in which you would have up to 6 Premium accounts for each member of your household and their personal devices. Everyone can listen to their favorites songs individually, without interruptions and their music taste remains personal and unique.

Stay awesome!

Let me know if you have further questions or need anything else! I'd love to help! 🙂
