How do you clear a recommended public playlist or recently played playlist?

How do you clear a recommended public playlist or recently played playlist?

A public playlist on Spotify has taken over our Spotify account. It's called "Christmas Hits" (see link below). We played it over the holidays so it shows up as Recently Played. Now when we play music on our Echo Dots that playlist randomly takes over. We'll be playing another playlist and it will stop and the next thing we hear is Mariah Carey singing All I Want...again. It also starts by itself. I came into the house the other day when no one had been home to hear White Christmas. I tried to find a way to clear the playlist from our account but I can't. Clear Queue doesn't do it because you can't clear the lead off song so the list is reborn every time. Help!

Hello @ncpncp!

 

Unfortunately, there's no way at the moment to reset your play history, other than creating a new account. If this is something you'd like to see in Spotify, make sure to add your support to this idea. Regardless of its current status, it might be reconsidered in the future.

 

On another note, you can disable the Autoplay feature to avoid other songs playing when your music ends.
