My old email account that was connected to my Spotify account was hacked and so I have no way to access it and I just got a new phone and can't remember the password and I can't reset the password without getting a code from the email account I can longer access so how do I get my premium account transferred over to my new phone if I can't change the password? 

 

When I want to login, i use my emailaddress and password (i am sure it is the correct one) but i get the message the password is not correct. When i want to reset my passworx, i get the message my emailaddress is not linked to a Spitify account. And when i want to register, i get the message my emailasdress is already linked to a Spotify account. I don't get this?

One of my family members is having this issue. Did customer support help? I'd like to not waste my time if they don't have a solution

Every time I try to log in with Facebook it doesn’t recognize my account, email, or username. I can’t even reset the password because it says no account. I had to make a new account but I don’t want to lose my old one.

My Question or Issue

On 4 Feb I purchased the family plan, added everyone in and all was great. I had to register a full account for my wife using email before adding her.

One day we were driving along listening to Spotify through her phone and out of nowhere it just stopped playing. A few days later she told me her phone had defaulted to her old free account and was no longer using the new connected account.
I've checked now on a pc and I can see that she is no longer part of the family plan anymore.
I've tried to log into her account on the pc, but it says email not linked to a spotify account. So I think the account has been deleted. So I try to register a new account, but the register new account page gives me an error saying the email already is linked to an account.

 

So which is it? Is it linked to an account or isn't it!?! 🤣

I think what happened is the account is deactivated, so it still exists, but its disabled and now you can't log in, or register new. But I'm just guessing here.

 

Any suggestions?
